Gambling your last Dollar

I don't know, I've never been one to gamble and never really got how people could put so much money at risk when gambling. I have done a little over the years and I do like some casino games and stuff, but I'm not as quick to throw money down on gambling as most people seem to be.

Obviously the odds of walking away a winner are not in your favor, after all, I've never really heard of a casino losing money. So how can people even get into gambling all the time? It sucks to walk away a loser, you'd think having to do it a bunch of times would teach these people a lesson.

It's almost like these people are just too lazy to work, so they try to win big at the casino or something, but if they do win, they end up gambling it all away trying to make more. It just looks like a lose-lose situation to me.

I have a brother that has a bit of a gambling problem, he's not addicted or anything, but he does waste a fair bit of money gambling. If he starts getting low on cash, he likes to try to double it at the casino, he rarely does though. Just a pointless waste if you ask me.
