More than four-fifths of drug law violation arrests are for possession. Law enforcement agencies nationwide made an estimated 2 million arrests per year for drug abuse violations alone.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- the Federal government seized 16,270 illegal drug laboratories between fiscal years 1975 and 2003
in fiscal year 2003, of the 420 labs seized, 409 (97%) manufactured methamphetamines
in 2003 the DEA program for eradicating domestic marijuana resulted in the destruction of 3.4 million plants in 34,362 plots, 8,480 arrests, 4,176 weapons seized, and assets seized valued at $25.1 million.
I may say, Feds are running a booming Drugs business, which explains why they don't want to legalize Drugs. After all what are they going to do with over 5,000 DEA officers and over 100,000 full-time personnel authorized to make arrests and carry firearms and lets not forget thousands of FBI agents and who has concurrent jurisdiction with the DEA over drug offenses under the Controlled Substances Act. And if we add State and Local agencies, Prosecutors and lawyers actively involved in War on Drugs, we can confidently say that this War will never end.
Supporter of War on Drugs will say that this war can be successful if we prevail in these areas: stopping drug production in other countries, stopping drugs at the border, stopping the sale of drugs within the United States.
Well geniuses, to that I will say: take my Middle finger and stick it in your asses deep enough so you can scratch your brains and maybe then you will come with better ideas or even understanding that you are trying to fight war that you will never win
